Niquita, or Quita as we call her, is Niqui’s first born. And what a first born she is. Ok, she should have been champagne (ideally homozygote) but instead she was dark bay! But she’s big, and bold and beautiful. She’s my only filly in a long time and combines Nib and Asphodeles genes who haven’t given me a filly to keep so she’ll stay with me for now and she promises to be a wonderful allround horse for the future.

Sire Niquita Akhdhar is a big bold colt, with amazing paces and a lovely easy going personality. With his iridescent shine from the champagne gene he is quite stunning to look at. Niqui will be a big horse, and if his sire and dam are anything to go by, he will make an amazing sportshorse.

Dam Sunny came to Esther as a lease mare in 2020, an amazing opportunity to breed a champagne warmblood cross mare with Aqui, to produce a nice Warmblood type sportshorse foal hopefully, champagne (and even a 25% chance of homozygote for the champagne gene). Her lovely personality, easy floating paces and perfect size (not too big ;) ) made Esther buy her to have a horse to play with in 2022. Sunny has some famous dressage stallions in her pedigree: Gribaldi, Jazz and Aktion, she herself is very laid back so let's see how she will do once ridden!
